As women of color with diverse backgrounds, Black Lives Matter is not just a movement for us, it is our daily experience. Our company stands firm with our community in the battle against institutional racism. This is not just the next wave of what to blog or post about on your social media accounts, this is an ongoing discussion that must be maintained and followed up by actions within this country’s broken systems and the majority’s broken prejudicial beliefs.

Institutional racism is a means of oppressing a specific group of people through promoting disparities in education, housing, health care, wealth and employment. History has proven time after time that America’s favored group for oppression is the black community.

We will continue to stand in solidarity until our feet can no longer withstand the pain. And then we will use our knees to continue our stance that #blacklivesmatter.
